Terms & Conditions
The rules for using Mezeik and ordering custom photo mosaic prints, in plain language.
Draft — pending legal reviewLast updated 25 October 2026
1. Who we are
Mezeik (mezeik.com) is operated by Keenear Holding AB, a Swedish limited company, org. no. 556902-0026, VAT no. SE556902002601, Västra Hamngatan 11, 411 19 Göteborg, Sweden. You can reach us by phone on +46 73 403 82 76, by email at legal@mezeik.com, or through our contact form.
These terms apply when you use mezeik.com and when you order products from us. By placing an order you accept these terms. The terms are available in English. Please save or print a copy for your records.
2. The service
Mezeik lets you select photos, either by uploading them from your device or by picking them from Google Photos, choose one of them as the target image, and order a printed photo mosaic of the target image made from your other photos. The mosaic is generated automatically by our software using colour matching. No artificial intelligence, face recognition or biometric processing is used.
You need at least 100 photos (not counting the target image), each at least 800 × 600 pixels. You do not need an account. Your photos are linked to your browser session and deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your photos and content rules
When you upload or select photos you confirm that:
- you own the photos or have all rights and permissions needed to use and print them, including the consent of identifiable people shown in them where required;
- the photos do not contain sexual or pornographic content, violence, content that sexualises or exploits minors, hateful or discriminatory content, or any other content that is illegal under Swedish or EU law;
- using the photos does not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights.
You are solely responsible for the photos you provide. Keenear Holding AB accepts no responsibility for uploaded content and does not review it before the mosaic is generated. You will compensate us for claims from third parties that arise because your photos break these rules.
Violations will be reported to the authorities. If we become aware of illegal content, in particular child sexual abuse material, we will report it to the police and other competent authorities and preserve the data they need.
You keep all rights to your photos. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and print them solely to provide the service and fulfil your order.
4. Notices, moderation and the Digital Services Act
Our point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) for authorities, users and anyone else is our contact form; we answer in English or Swedish.
Anyone can notify us of content they believe is illegal or breaks these terms through the contact form. Please include why you think the content is illegal, where it can be found (for example an order number), your name and email address, and a statement that the notice is made in good faith. We confirm receipt, assess notices diligently and objectively, and inform you of our decision and the available ways to appeal it.
We may, without prior notice, remove photos, stop the generation of a mosaic, refuse or cancel an order and suspend access to the service when we have reason to believe these terms or the law are broken. We do not use automated content moderation today; we plan to introduce automated checks later and will update these terms first. If we take action, we tell you the reasons, unless the law or an authority prevents us, and you may ask us to review the decision through the contact form. If an order is cancelled for this reason before production, any payment is refunded.
5. Orders and contract
Before you order you see a watermarked, zoomable preview of your mosaic and a quality score for every size. You choose the products, sizes, orientation, frame colour and quantities in the cart. Payment is made in Stripe Checkout, where you enter your delivery and billing details and can review and correct them before you pay.
The contract is concluded when the payment has been completed and we send you an order confirmation by email. We may refuse an order before confirmation, for example if a product becomes unavailable, a price is obviously wrong, or the content rules are broken; you are then refunded in full.
6. Prices, VAT and payment
Prices are shown in the currency of the delivery country. Product prices and shipping in the cart are shown excluding VAT. Value added tax is calculated by Stripe Tax and added at checkout according to the delivery country and the applicable rules; the total including VAT is shown before you pay. Business customers who enter a valid EU VAT number from another EU country may be charged without VAT under the reverse-charge rules.
Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Available payment methods depend on your country. You receive an invoice or receipt by email, issued by Keenear Holding AB (VAT no. SE556902002601).
7. Production and delivery
Your mosaic is rendered at print resolution after payment and produced by our print partner Gelato, usually in a print facility close to the delivery address. We deliver to all 27 EU member states. Estimated delivery times and the shipping method (standard, or express where available) are shown before you pay. An order may arrive in several parcels.
Delivery times are estimates. If delivery is delayed by more than 30 days beyond the estimate without agreement, you may cancel the purchase and get your money back. Check your parcel on arrival and tell us about visible transport damage as soon as possible.
8. No right of withdrawal for personalised goods
Every mosaic is made to order from your own photos and is therefore a personalised product. Under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU, Art. 16(c)) and the Swedish Distance Contracts Act (lag (2005:59) om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler, chapter 2, section 11), the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply. You acknowledge this when you place your order. This does not affect your rights if the product is defective (section 10).
9. Mosaic quality and colour adjustment
The appearance of your mosaic depends entirely on the photos you provide. Mezeik generates the mosaic automatically and does not guarantee any particular level of likeness, detail or visual quality. More photos, higher-resolution photos and more varied photos (different colours, light and subjects) give a noticeably better result. To improve resemblance to your target image, individual photos may be colour-adjusted toward the colours of the target image and may appear mirrored. The quality score is an automated estimate only. By placing your order you confirm that you have reviewed the preview and accept the mosaic as shown. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding defects in printing, materials or delivery.
Because of this, the likeness or visual quality of the mosaic as shown in the preview is not a defect. Sizes with a quality score of Blocked cannot be ordered.
10. Defects and complaints
You have statutory rights if the product is defective, for example damaged in transport, misprinted, a broken frame or glazing, or a product other than the one you ordered. For consumers in Sweden the Consumer Sales Act (konsumentköplagen (2022:260)) applies: you can complain about defects that existed at delivery for up to three years, and you should complain within a reasonable time after you discovered the defect (two months is always reasonable). Consumers in other EU countries keep the protection of their national mandatory consumer law.
Contact us through the contact form with your order number and photos of the defect. We will reprint the product, or, if that is not possible, refund you. We pay reasonable return costs for defective products.
11. Liability
We are responsible for delivering the products you ordered in accordance with these terms and mandatory law. We are not liable for indirect loss or for delays or failures caused by events outside our control (force majeure). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law, including liability for intent or gross negligence and your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Personal data
We process personal data as described in our Privacy Policy and GDPR statement. Your photos are deleted when your order is paid, when you press Start over, or after 24 hours without activity.
13. Disputes and governing law
Please contact us first; we want to solve problems quickly. Consumers resident in Sweden can turn to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN, Box 174, 101 23 Stockholm, arn.se); we follow ARN’s recommendations. Consumers in other EU countries can get help from the European Consumer Centre in their country. The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform has been discontinued; complaints can instead be directed to the bodies above.
These terms are governed by Swedish law. This does not deprive consumers of the protection of mandatory rules of the country where they live. Disputes are decided by Swedish general courts, unless mandatory law gives a consumer the right to bring a claim in their home country.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published when you place your order applies to that order.
